Located on Hwy 15 north of its intersection with Hwy 106 is the Providence Methodist Church. The land for this church and the cemetery across the road was given by Rev. James Leander Stinson. Rev. Stinson was a promient circuiting-riding Minister of the Gospel as preachers were often called during the days of the horse and buggy. A look at the names in the Providence Cemetery will reveal a lot of the Stinson family members.
