REUBEN McGEE BONNER FAMILY

Reuben M Bonner, born 8 Nov 1810 in Jones County GA, son of Hubbard and Rachel McGee Bonner.   Married Eliza Bexley Hartley, born abt 1811, Hancock Co., GA, daughter of Joseph and Mary Bexley Hartley.
Children: Mary Laura, Eustacia Elizabeth, Joseph E., Herbert, Martha & Eliza B.

Moved to Texas probably about the same time as William Thames Streety.   Eliza died 10 Sep 1854. Place of burial unknown at this time.

Reuben married a second time to Martha Trent and became a successful businessman in Waco, Hillsboro and Whitney, Texas.  He died 17 Mar 1893 and is buried at Bethlehem cemetery near Whitney, Texas.

WILLIAM McDANIEL FAMILY

(Not as much is researched of this family at the present time)
William M. McDaniel was born 7 Dec 1822 in AL.  Married Elizabeth Eustacia Bonner, daughter of Reuben M and Eliza Hartley Bonner.
Children: Annie K, William Edgar, Eugene, Ennis Leona, John Hillery, Eliza B., J. B., Mattie M, Bartlett and Willie.

Believe they moved to Texas and located in Freestone CO, Texas, along with William Streety and Reuben M Bonner.

William McDaniel was instrumental in helping to create a veterans home for members of the CSA in Freestone Co, TX.

William M died 2 Nov 1873 and is buried along with members of his family in an abandoned cemetery in Freestone Co, while his wife, E. E., and son J. B. and some other family members are buried in the Hubbard City Cemetery, Hill County, Texas.

WILLIAM THAMES STREETY FAMILY

William Thames Streety, born 28 July 1810, Bladen Co., NC, son of William T and Lucy (?) Streety.   William Thames married Mary Whitfield Hartley 31 Mar 1831 in Augusta Co., GA.  Mary, born 8 Jan 1813 in GA, was daughter of Joseph and Mary Bexley Hartley (buried in Ft Dale Cemetery, Butler Co., AL).
Children: William Lloyd, Sidney James, Joseph Belah, Mary Jane, Pauline Seraphine, John Henry, Reuben Bonner, Eustacia Elizabeth, Anna Temperance, Martha Louisa, Ella Camella, all born in Butler Co, AL.

Moved to Texas about 1852.  Last reported in the 1850 census in Butler Co., AL.  He purchased 2,000 acres in Freestone Co., Texas, and built a cotton gin, among other buildings, on his property.  William Thames Streety and his wife Mary Hartley may have been buried on the property.   Location has not been found.

William T and others from Butler County organized the community of Butler in Freestone county and named it after Butler County, Alabama.  He and his wife were founding members of the Butler Baptist Church of Christ at Cedar Springs, Freestone county, Texas.

William Thames died 30 Nov 1856, Freestone County TX.  Mary Whitfield Hartley Streety is next found in the 1860 census of Freestone, County, TX.
