My grandmother Myrtle Alice Mixon Wilson was a Greenville native.
One photo in her album was of a group of friends and labeled "the Friday Rook Club".
 In the first row were Johnsie Newton, Melba Thomas, Merle Peek and Era Pate.
The second row was Ernie Boutwell, my grandmother Myrtle Wilson, Mildred Salter (her sister) and Lola Coker.

There was also a yellowed newspaper clipping written by someone my grandmother
labeled "cousin" and thought that would be of interest too
