Butler County Pioneer Family Project

This project is a special subset of our Families page.  In order to offset the loss of records in the 1853 courthouse fire, we are trying to compile as much information as we can on the pioneer families who were in Butler County before 1850.  We hope that by so doing, we might provide each other with helpful leads to missing family members, especially females, who are very hard to identify without court records.  Using the 1830-1850 censuses as a guideline, we will have links from this list to the earliest families.  We appreciate all your contributions to this project.

Guidelines for submitting info:

Find your pioneer family member on the 1830, 1840 or 1850 census list.

Using your genealogy program, create a descendant report, including sources, in modified register format for this person and up to 3 generations, but no living persons, please.

Save as a text file and email to me. Please be sure to include your full name, not just your email address.

If you have just a few facts to add to what is already on the page, you may also send me that information and I will post an addendum.
