Mrs. Edis Philen Smith -- A native of Clarke County and a resident of Mobile,
since 1942, died in a local hospital on Friday, September 5, 2003. Mrs. Smith
was preceded in death by her husband, C. A. Smith. She is survived by her
daughter, Coralie (Edward) Busby, Mobile, AL; three sons, Allen (Joan) Smith,
Mobile, AL, Gerry (Cindy) Smith, Mobile, AL and Leroy (Bonnie) Smith, Satsuma,
AL; two brothers, J. P. (Wilma) Philen, Alabaster, AL and R. B. Philen, Fort
Deposit, AL; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great
great grandchild; nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be
held from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home on Monday,
September 8, 2003 at 10AM. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Visitation
will be 5PM to 8PM, Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements by MOBILE
MEMORIAL GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 6040 Three Notch Rd., Mobile, AL.
