I think though that you should make a note that there is some evidence of maybe some unmarked graves in there also, as the ground was sunken in some places. The ground & graves were piled up thick with years of fallen leaves on top of them. Do you have a Chambers Co map from the HWY Dept? I'm not good at figuring this out, but from me looking at my map, it is located at T22N, R26E in square #19. If your on Co Rd 48, go past the Co Rd 28 (Woodshop Rd) crossroads and about 1/4 mile on the leftside of the road is where the cemetery is located about 100 yards or so from the road in a patch of trees in a pasture. Melissa Smith I visited three cemeteries today that have been long forgotten. They are not in the book "A Survey of Cemeteries in Chambers Co, AL." The first one I went to was in terrible shape, but I believe it has connections to who you are looking for. It is located off of Co Rd 48 in the Ridge Grove area outside of Lafayette and is not viewable from the road. This is what I found in it: 5 adult rock covered graves no markings 2 adult slab graves unreadible 1 infant slab grave unreadible Mary Ratchford w/o Jno A Ratchford dau of Moses & Catherine Wyatt 03/03/1827-10/22/1886 Catherine Ratchford w/o J F Jacobs 06/09/1847-04/02/1896 (This stone is broken into 3 pieces)
