Eleazer A. Jeter to Garrett Morris
     Know all men by these presents I Eleazer A. Jeter of the County of
Montgomery and States of Alabama for and in consideration of six hundred
dollars to me in hand paid by Garrett Morris of the County of Chambers and
State aforesaid the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge, do hereby
grant, bargain, sell, convey and confirm unto the said Garrett Morris
a certain half section of land known by the North half of section
twenty-one (21) in Township twenty (20) and Range twenty-six (26) East in
the Tallapossa Land District State of Alabama containing three hundred and
twenty acres and forty-four hundredths of an acres.
     To have an to hold the aforesaid....


     In witness...this ninth day of November in the year of our Lord One
thousand Eight hundred and forty six.  Signed, sealed, and delivered in
presence of

...that on the 12th day of May A. D. 1847, the original of the foregoing
deed was deposited in this office for Record certified as above, and on
the 22nd day of the same month and year was
