This handsome Gothic building was constructed in 1914-1915 at a finished cost of $22,000

This photograph of the LaFayette Methodist Church (now First Methodist of LaFayette) was taken in 1890.
It is unclear if this is the previous 1845 building remodeled, or a new building altogether.
This handsome structure was torn away in 1914 to make way for the present building.
