Shiloh Baptist Church Organized 1868
Present building erected ca. 1901, (With later additions and lower roof line)
Located at the intersection of CR 53 and CR 121 in north west Chambers County

In 1865, the Milltown Baptist Church extended and arm in a westerly direction four miles and there held monthly church services for three years. On June 19, 1868, the Shiloh Baptist Church was organized.
Charter members were:
Josephine Alsobrook, J. G. Leverett, H. Mitcham, Evelyn Griffin, Jane Sims, Mary McKnight, David H. Fant, J. N. McKnight, Alford Sims, Samantha Bowling, C. T. Coggin, Jane Fant Norris, N. A. Clifton, A. H. Harrison, Rosannah Wise Talbot, Nathan Sorrell, W. M. Jackson, Benjamin F. Fant, Susan McKnight, J. J. Clifton, S. A. Willoughby, Elem Bentley, Adaline Sims, James A. Talbot, George Clifton and W. M. Willoughby.

From the September 12, 1900, issue of "The LaFayette Sun":
The people at Shiloh are contemplating the erection of a new church building. This is much needed, as the old one, is not a shame, is a “tumble-down-affair.”
