Probate Court November 20th 1900

In the matter of the Probate of the Last Will and Testament of M.B. Lawhon., Deceased. This day came J.M. Shotts and S.L. Cofield and filed in this court their petition, together with a

paper purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of M.B. Lawhon, deceased, and praying for such

orders, decrees and proceedings as may be proper and requisite for the due probate and record of

said Will in this court; which said instrument appears to be attested by A.L.C. Goggans and J.A.

Wilson of Marion County, Alabama, who are alleged to have signed the same as subscribing witnesses

thereunto at the date of said instrument and it appearing to the court that said petitioners are

named in said instrument as the executors thereof; that said decedent was never married, and

therefore left neither widow or children as heirs of distributees of his estate; that the names,

ages, residences and condition of the next of kin and relatives of said M.B. Lawhon, deceased, are

as follows, to wit: Z.B. Palmer, J.J. Palmer, H.M. Palmer and wife (Margarett Palmer), Mrs. M.J.

Wilson, Mrs. Cleo Shotts (wife of William Shotts), D.M. Goggans, Mrs. Dizena Palmer, Mrs. Arvilla

Young (wife of J.T. Young), Mrs. Flora Holley (wife of J.B. Holley), N.L. Lawhon, C.D. Lawhon,

Lurany Risinger, R.G. Robison and Mrs. Callie Lawhon, all of whom are over the age of twenty-one

years, and reside in Marion County, Alabama: and Elmer Lawhon, Ethel Lawhon, Edgar Lawhon and Edna

Lawhon, All of who are minors under the age of fourteen years and reside with and are in the

custody of their mother, Mrs. Callie Lawhon, in Marion County , Alabama; Gertrude Robison, a minor

under the age of fourteen years, who resides with and is in the custody of her father, R.G.

Robison, in Marion County, Alabama; E.E. Cottingham (wife of ___ Cottingham, whose name is

to petitioners otherwise unknown), and Noah Risinger, all over the age of twenty-one years and

reside in Bibb County, Alabama; A.L. Lawhon and W.J. Lawhon who are over the age of twenty-one

years, and non-residents of the State of Alabama, and reside at Dangerfield in Morris County, Texas

; Noah Lawhon, a minor over the age of fourteen years who is a non-resident of the State of Alabama

, and resides with and in the custody and charge of the said A.L. Lawhon at Dangerfield in Morris

County, Texas; Mrs. Melverda Griffin (wife of Ras Griffin), who is a non-resident of the State of

Alabama, and resides at Verona in Lee County, Mississippi; and over the age of twenty-one years;

W.B. Palmer, who is a non-resident of the State of Alabama over the age of twenty-one years and

resides in Tremont in Itawamba County, Mississippi: Mrs. Georgia Johnson (wife of ___ Johnson,

whose name is, to petitioners, otherwise unknown), who is over the age of twenty-one years,

a non-resident of the State of Alabama, and resides in Itta in Itawamba County, Mississippi; James

Nelson, John Nelson, Jack Nelson, Mrs. Alice Hall (wife of ___ Hall, whose name to petitioners is

otherwise unknown), all of whom are over the age of twenty-one years, non-resident of the State of

Alabama, and reside at Rowlette in Dallas County, Texas; Willie Nelson, a minor over the age of

fourteen years, a non-resident of the State of Alabama and residing at Rowlette in Dallas County,

Texas; Mrs. Lou Fowler (wife of ___ Fowler, whose name to petitioners is otherwise unknown) who is

over the age of twenty-one years, a non-resident of the State of Alabama, and resides at Pauls

Valley in Indian Territory; Mrs. Ellen Watkins (wife of ___ Watkins whose name to petitioners is

otherwise unknown) and Mrs. Harriet Hutchins (wife of ___ Hutchins, whose name to petitioners is

otherwise unknown) both of whom are over the age of twenty-one years, non-residents of the State of

Alabama, and reside at Strown in Palo Pinto County, Texas. Mrs. Patience Cravens (wife of ___

Cravens, whose name to petitioners is otherwise unknown) who is over the age of twenty-one years,

a non-resident of the State of Alabama, and resides at Sallisaw in Indian Territory: Mrs. Willie

Dickinson (wife of ___ Dickinson, whose name to petitioners is otherwise unknown), and Mrs. Georgia

Smith (wife of ___ Smith, whose name to petitioners is otherwise unknown) ) who are over the age of

twenty-one years, non-residents of the State of Alabama, and reside at Chico in Wise County, Texas;

James Taylor, who is over the age of twenty-one years, a non-resident of the State of Alabama, and

resides at Annette, in Parker County, Texas; Mrs. Iwana Mansell (wife of John Mansell), who is over

the age of twenty-one years, a non-resident of the State of Alabama and resides at Pendleton in

Bell County, Texas; Belton Palmer, who is over the age of twenty-one years, a non-resident of the

State of Alabama and resides at Grandview in Hill County, TX.; Mrs. Perdilla Brewster and E.E.

Palmer, who are over the age of twenty-one years, a non-residents of the State of Alabama and

reside at Cliff in Indian Territory; Tucker Goggans, D.M Risinger, W.L. Risinger and J.M. Nelson,

who are over the age of twenty-one years, and petitioners are informed and believe, non-residents

of the State of Alabama, but whose particular place or places , of residence are to petitioners

unknown, although they have made diligent inquiry to ascertain the same. Petitioners aver that

neither of the minors named in this petition has any legal guardian, and that all the persons named
