MRS AILEEN GOWDEY PASSED AWAY LAST THURSDAY
Mrs. Aileen Gowdey, died
at the home
of her sister, Mrs. Louise Sims, last Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock,
after a short illness.
Mrs. Gowdey was well known in this section having lived here a
number of years, and was married to the late Mr. Richard Gowdey, who
proceeded her a few years ago.
She is survived by her Mother, Mrs. Smith, of Gadsden, one
sister, Mrs. Louise Sims, and three sons. George, Spratt, and Francis
of this place.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon from the Sims
residence, with Revs. Ezell, Partridge, and Ellisor officiating.
Interment in the York cemetary with Webb funeral home of Meridian
in charge.
