Death Of Mrs. Gowdey
The Reaper death
has entered another happy home and
rendered it sad and desolate, claiming this time a loving Mother, Mrs. Fanny Gowdey wife of
Mr G.C. Gowdey. While she has
been seriously ill with bowel trouble
for two weeks, her death was caused by heart failure and came as a great shock to the
family and everyone as the
physicians stated that she was out of danger only a few hours before her
death. but a sudden change
took place Monday night, and about 2 o'clock Tuesday morning the soul of a
Christian Mother winged its
flight to the promised land above where 2 children have preceeded. None of
her children were at home at
the time of her death, the only daughter being on a visit to South Carolina. Deep
sympathy goes out to this
daughter, a devoted husband, an aged Mother, and two sons in their irreparable loss.
Dr. W.G.Curry conducted the
funeral services at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock, and the
remains were laid to rest in
the Livingston Cemetary.
