Sumter County, Alabama Deed Book B, p. 373 Jim Tom To John Trussell Received the 21sr and Recorded the 22nd April 1837 This Indenture made the 19th day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty seven Between Jim Tom as Choct-aw reserve of the first part and John Trussell of Kemper County of the second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand one hundred and Sixty dollars lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said party of the second part his heirs executors and administrators forever released and described from the same by these presents Has granted , bargained sold aliened remised released enfeoffied, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents does grant bargain sell alien, remise release enfeoff convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever All and singular the following described lands and premises lying and situate in the county of Sumter and State of Alabama and designated as follows to wit All of Fractional Section No Fifteen and all of Fractional Section No Sixteen and the North East Quarter and the East Half of the north west quarter of Section No Twenty one of Township No Twenty One of Range One West in the Tuscaloosa Land District Said lands being all in the Township aforesaid . Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments rights members privileges and appertaining unto the above mentioned and described premises belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the above granted and described premises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for himself and his heirs the above described and hereby granted and release premises and every part and parcel thereof with the hereditaments and appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the said part of the first part his heirs and against all and every person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend. And wife of the said in consideration of the aforesaid and of one Dollar to her paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does hereby release and relinquish to the party of the second part heirs and assign all her right and title of dower in and to the above mentioned and described premises.
