To Mr. and Mrs. Ritter were born six children, four of whom are still living, namely: Mamie, Josephine, and Vin, all residing with their mother in El Monte, and Edna (Mrs. J.D. Cox) of Los Angeles. Mr. Ritter was greatly interested in fraternal activities, and contributed much of his time to their advancement. During his residence here he became a member of the Masonic Order, the Eastern Star, and the Forresters. Of these (in the order named) he was, at his death, a Past Master, Past Patron, and Past Chief Ranger.
