In August of 2002, Jonathan and Wendy Thompson, publishers of the San Juan Mountain Journal, purchased the Silverton Standard and the Miner. The Journal was metaphorically folded into the new Standard, now they publish a weekly rag that combines the virtues of both.

Silverton, Colorado Hillside Cemetery - "The" source for Hillside Cemetery.   Freda Peterson's <Freda28@aol.com> listing of "Hillside Cemetery" includes burials in the Chattanooga and Howardsville cemeteries and all other known burials in San Juan County.
