MILFORD - Dorothy H. Brereton of Milford died Saturday, May 28, 2005, in Sunrise
Assisted Living, Wilmington. She was 92.
Mrs. Brereton was born April 18, 1913, in Frederica, daughter of the late
Frederick T. and Amanda Camper Harrington.
She was a waitress for the Dinner Bell Inn in Dover, retiring after 45 years
with the restaurant.
Mrs. Brereton was a member of Avenue United Methodist Church, Milford.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William
Brereton; a sister, Clara Stradley; and three brothers, Frederick Harrington,
Henry Harrington, and Walter Harrington.
She is survived by a brother, J. Saxton Harrington of Wilmington; three nieces,
Virginia Connelly, Sally Rollins and Arleen Dolan; and four nephews, Howard
Harrington, Allen Harrington, Jay S. Harrington and Guy Harrington, all of whom
will miss her greatly.
Service will be noon Wednesday in Rogers Funeral Home, 301 Lakeview Ave.,
Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Barratts Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
Instead of flowers, the family requests contributions to Avenue United Methodist
Church, 20 N. Church St., Milford DE 19963.
