William Jackson

In the name of God, Amen. I, William Jackson, of Kent County, in the State of Delaware, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind, memory and understanding, considering the certainty of Death and the uncertainty of the time thereof, and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs and thereby be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to call me home, do therefor make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say, First and principally, I commit my soul into the hand of Almighty God, and my body to the earth, to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix herein after named and after my debts and funeral charges are paid, I devise and bequeath as follows.

1.I devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife, all of my Estate both in Mary land and Delaware, during her life or widowhood for the purpose of raising my small children but at her Death or Marriage.

2.I devise and bequeath to my daughter, Mary, one mahogany cupboard

3.I, d. and bq. unto my son, John William Fletcher, two mahogany tables.

4.I, d. and bq. unto my daughter Sarah, one mahogany bureau.

5.I, d. and bq. unto my three sons, Charles W. Jackson, Edward F. Jackson and George W. Jackson, all of my lands in Kent County, state of Delaware. To be equal divided in quantity and quality to them and their heirs forever, and in case of either of their deaths without lawfull heirs, the survivor of the three, to be the heir.

And, last I d. and bq. unto my daughter, Elizabeth, all of my property laying and being at the Head of Chester, in the state of Maryland, Queen Annes County. But, in case my wife prove pregnant and should be delivered of a child and it lives, then I d. and bq. that the aforesaid property to be equal divided between Elizabeth and the youngest, if either die, the survivor of the two, to heir the property, aforesaid, them and their heirs forever.

And, finally, bq. and ordain my beloved wife my whole and just Executrix after this my last will and testament and guardian to my children, with disposal of whole Estate in the forum
