James Alfred Betts
one of Milton's best known citizens died at his home on Union Street on Friday morning after several months of ilness. Age 79.
Funeral services were held at his late home on Monday afternoon.
Rev.D.K.Sturgis, pastor of M.P.Church having charge of services and internment was made at Oddfellows Cemetery.
Mr. Betts leaves besides his wife, one daughter Lolita Betts of Milton.
Up to 2 years ago the deceased took an active part in town affairs.
Serving on the town council several terms. He was a trustee of Milton M.P.Church and a member of that organization for many years.
