Confederate Soldiers at
Old Midway Cemetery

These Confederate Soldiers died at the Civil War hospital that was set up at the Oglethorpe University. The graves are unmarked (11 in all) but these names were uncovered by local historian Hugh Harrington in 2003. They are identified in the Southern Recorder, Sept. 13, 1864. A marker is at Memory Hill Cemetery in the same plot as the Georgia Militia soldiers graves.
