Was located on old Monticello Rd.  319th Dist,. African-American, was next to Antioch Church. Geneva B. Cullins was teacher here 1903-1904. Annie Washington was teacher here in 1919.

Mrs. Mary Rice Phelps was assistant principal 1890-1891. Sallie Ellis Davis was a teacher and a principal  here for  50 years. The first building burned in 1925, 2nd buildingin 1946. Hopewell Community 4 miles west of Milledgeville. All grades. Annie Ray teacher here 1903-1904. The teacher Miss Cook and 25 students were in the building when a tornado hit & destroyed the building - no serious injuries in 1913. Atlanta Constitution 2/28/1913.

Military School opened May 1815 at the Camp-ground above Milledgeville. Capts John Wood, Thomas S. Wooward
William Green, formerly of the University of Georgia opened an academy in 1816 in Milledgeville. His wife opened a girl's school at the same time.

at State Prison Farm on Hwy 22. Established 1903 and was here until wind storm torn the bldg down in early 1920's, then children went to GMC. 1 room bldg also used for church. Teachers: Alice  M.
