There was an early settler
of Wilkinson County by the name of Peter Pearson.
His father, Christoper Pearson, was also in Wilkinson County. I am told
the some of the land that Peter Pearson owned later became the site of
Irwinton. Peter Pearson moved on to Marion County as the Indian Lands opened
up. His burial site is in Marion County in the Tullis Cemetary. I am looking
for the burial site of Christopher Pearson, because I think he may have
died in Wilkinson County around 1820. Does anyone have any Pearson info.

I am looking for any information
on Herbert Lance MACKEY who grew up in Laurens or
Wilkinson County. He had a brother named Ernest Bertram MACKEY who lived
in Dublin and was a businessman there. Herbert moved to Savannah, but I'm
not sure of the date. Their parents died when they were young and I think
Herbert just moved from farm to farm as people needed him to work. If you

I am looking for more information
on Robert Relford Bellflower b. about 1822. His wife
was Luraney E. Smith b. about 1832. She was mentioned in the Wilkinson
Co. will of William Smith, & believed to be his daughter. Her mother,
Alethea, was living with Robert & Luraney in Dooly Co. GA for the 1850
census, Pulaski Co. GA for the 1860 census, & Hamilton Co. FL for the
1870 census. In Pulaski Co. Robert Relford was listed as Bryant R. Belflower.
Robert & Luraney married in Laurens Co. GA. There were several families
of Bellflowers in the area in the 1830's & 1840's. Athlea only lived
with Robert & Luraney in the 1850 census. She apparently died or lived
somewhere else after that.

1997 HERNDON My great grandfather was James Wesley
Herndon. He married Lucy Ann Balkcom from Jones Co in 1865. By 1884 they
had moved to Ark. I just found a one liner in Mr. Maddox' book about James
Herndon, son of Love Herndon being charged with murder in 1867. Love was
my James' father. I placed a call a few weeks ago to the library there
and someone is going to the courthouse to see if there are papers she can
copy for me. We knew James had left everything and everyone behind. Now
we know why. James lived until 1925 and was a wonderful father and grandfather.
We would love to know what happened. There is a Wesley Herndon in the CSA
from Wilkinson Co. Does anyone have information on him? I don't know if
this is my James Wesley Herndon or not. Any help would be great.
