The Hilo Courthouse and Police Station

This building was dedicated in 1932. It was designed by Frank Arakawa (a Stanford University grad, and in the first Hilo High School graduating class).  The Courtroom was moved to the State Building when completed in 1969.  The Police Department moved to another building in 1975.  The building still stands, and is the site of the East Hawaii Cultural Center.
