There will be a meeting of the committee appointed by Col. George W. Parker of the Clark County Veteran Association at the Court house in Marshall, Ill., on Jan. 6th, 1899, for the purpose of devising ways and means of erecting a monument to the soldiers of the war of '61 to '65. The committee consists of one member from each township. You will be expected to be present. If you cannot do so, you will be expected to see that some one represents your township at this meeting. The following are the names of the committee:
