Last,  thanks to my family,  2 grandchildren, Tyler(9 yrs. old) and Hannah(7 yrs. old) for taking the time to read (or spell) the names so I could create the index and, my daughter for assisting us.  Also Tia and Jeannie.

In the 1830 Federal census, the  townships were unknown to the census taker, , William Turney.  The first page reads:
We hereby certified that a correct coppy of the above schedule signed by the William F. Turney has set up at two of the most public places within the division open to the inspection of places within division open to the inspection of all concered.

Also, the grand total was 2,562 people, of which includes the  6 Slaves and Free Blacks.  On the front and back pages, 7 were written but crossed out and replaced by a '6'.

The following people had Slaves and/or Free Black people in their house hold.
1) Leech, Samuel
1 female slave age between 10-24 yrs.

2) Funkenhouser, John
2 females slaves ages between 24-36 yrs.
2 free males ages under 10 yrs.

3)  Goodin, John
1 black free female age between 36-55

The age classification columns (one for Males and one for Females) are as follows:
1.    Under 5 years
2.    5 - 10 years
3.    10 - 15 years
4.    15 -20 years
5.    20 - 30 years
6.    30 - 40 years
7.    40 - 50 years
8.    50 - 60 years
9.    60 - 70 years
10.  70 -80 years
11.  80 - 90 years
12.  90 - 100 years

A census like this is hard to proofread.  I had 2 people helping me with this census and 'sometimes' each saw a differnt name or letter.
