These reports give a short description, and location of the community, also they list the merchants at that time. Most of these communities were connected to, or grew around the the railroad. There were two railroads that crossed Dearborn County. Ohio and Mississippi Railroad and Indianapolis Cincinnati and Lafayette Railroad were the two lines that crossed the county in the year 1868.
