Death of Mrs. Maria Decker.

After an illness of 10 weeks with dropsy Mrs. Maria Decker, wife of Charles Decker, passed away Friday at midnight.

Mrs. Decker was born April 27, 1843, in Maikammer, Bavaria, Germany, came to America when a child and lived the greater portion of her life in Lawrenceburg. She was a daughter of John Brauer by his first wife, and was the last of 14 children. She was married July 27, 1866, to Charles Decker, and to this happy union was born two sons, George and Carl, and two daughters, Mrs. Kate Everhart and Miss Emma Decker.

Mrs. Decker was a woman of excellent social qualities, and will be mourned by many friends, but most of all will she be missed in the home which her daily life made so pleasant to her husband and children.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon in Zion's church, where over 600 people, including the DAughters of Rebekah, Liedertafel and the employees of the Ohio Valley Coffin company, gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to her memory. The burial took place in Greendale cemetery yesterday.
