Ernest Eberhart Rites Yesterday

Were Held at Emanuel Lutheran Church By Rev. Pettit; His Death Is Caused by Fall at His Home

Funeral rites for Ernest Eberhart, 70, a former resident of Lawrenceburg, who died Thursday morning at the General Hospital, Cincinnati, were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, the pastor, Rev.John A. Pettit officiating. The body was brought directly to the church yesterday from Jacocks Funeral Home. The burial was in Greendale Cemetery.

Mr. Eberhart resided at 2227 Symmes street, Cincinnati. His death was due to injuries received in a fall down the stone steps at his home on Friday last. A brain concussion resulted from the fall. He is survived by his widow (nee Anna Schneider) and two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Schlichter, Cincinnati and Mrs. Edna Dickman, Ft. Thomas, Ky., and three grandchildren.

His parents were Henry and Katherine Eberhart and he was the sixth son of a family of ten children, eight sons and two daughters, all having passed away save three: Charles Eberhart, assistant postmaster, and William Eberhart and Miss Elizabeth Eberhart, all of Lawrenceburg, with other kindred.

Mr. Eberhart had been in the employ of the Cincinnati street car company for 26 years, having been retired about three years ago when he met with an accident. He had been a member of the Lutheran church for a number of years. Many friends mourn his demise.
