Janice L. (Large) Cobb

December 17, 1934 ~ July 15, 2019

Janice L. Cobb, 84, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 7:15 PM, Monday, July 15th, 2019 while in the company of family members, at her residence.

Janice was born in Cincinnati, OH on December 17, 1934, a daughter of the late Agatha (Iles) and William J. Large. She was a 1952 graduate of Taylor High School in Cleves, OH. Janice married Donald John Cobb, Sr. on September 25th, 1976. Janice and Donald were married nearly 24 years until his passing on August 27th, 2000. Janice was a faithful member of Bethel Unity Baptist Church in Rising Sun, IN. She was also a very active member of the Rising Sun Eastern Star. Janice enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.

Janice is survived by a daughter, Joy Campbell (Billy), of Rising Sun, IN; a son, Stephen A. Ketterman, of Newport, KY; a step son, David Cobb (Susanne), of Batavia, OH; by 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; by a sister, June Bray (Charles), of Midland, OH and a brother, Joseph Large, of Cleves, OH.

She was preceded in death by her parents, by her second husband Donald J. Cobb, Sr., by a step son, Donald J. Cobb, Jr., by a sister, Judith Graham and by her first husband, Walter W. Ketterman.

Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM at Markland Funeral Home with Eastern Star services at 7 PM. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Friday, July 19th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Pastor James Jackson officiating.

Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
