Stephen Dale Vinup

Stephen Dale Vinup, 65, of Rising Sun, IN, passed away at 4:59 PM, Thursday, July 4th, 2019 in Cincinnati, OH.

Stephen was born in Milan, IN on September 24, 1953, a son of Betty Rose (Detmer) Vinup, of Rising Sun, IN and the late Hubert Leroy Vinup. Stephen grew up in the Ohio County community and was a graduate of Rising Sun High School, Class of 1971. He formerly worked for the Seagram's and Schenley distilleries. Stephen also was a truck driver and worked in maintenance. Stephen was a member of the Post 59 Sons of the American Legion and the Aurora Eagles. He was also a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ. Stephen enjoyed gardening, watching westerns and playing golf. He also liked NASCAR and was a Cincinnati Reds fan.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Betty Vinup, of Rising Sun, IN; by two sisters, Sue Scalf, of Rising Sun, IN and Cheri Collins (Barry), of Rising Sun, IN; by a brother, Jerry Vinup, of Rising Sun, IN; by sons, Anthony Fryman of FL and Michael Shane Vinup of MN; and by 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 PM, Monday, July 8th at Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN with Brother Nathan Pelehowski officiating. Friends are invited to call Monday 11AM-1PM at Markland Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Rising Sun New Cemetery.
