Edward C. Hughes, 65 a resident of Mansfield and father of Mrs. Harry Boyer Jr., 327 High St., died Tuesday night at the home of his brother in Nicholasville, Ky.
Death came unexpectedly although Mr. Hughes had been in failing health for some time.
Born in Rising Sun Indiana, Mr. Hughes resided in Mansfield for 40 years and had served in the World War as a sergeant in the 69th division in France. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign wars and Disabled American Veterans Chapters in Mansfield.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by his brother in Nicholasville and two sisters, Both of Louisville, Ky.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
