He married ________ there in the mid to late 1840s. His wife died very shortly after their marriage. John Milton left Kentucky and came to Texas. He was here by 1849. He was in Hill County, Tx., in 1850, where he helped establish the first Methodist Church in Hillsboro. He married there in May, 1858 to Paralee FANCHER. He served in the Confederacy from 1861 to 1866. After his discharge, he took his family, Paralee, dau. Eudora, son, Brackenridge Lane Moss, to Cooke County, Tx. He remained there until death in 1887. Other children were Thaddeus Lee, James William David, and Theodore Alonzo. We believe the move to Cooke was prompted by some of his family having moved from Kentucky to Cooke County, Tx. Would love to correspond with anyone believing they might have a connection to this individual.
