My ggrandparents were born, raised, and married in Kentucy, but I have
no idea where in Kentucy. After their marriage they traveled to Indian
Territory, leased land from the Indians and raised 9 Children. If you

Mo. in 1814. His father died suddenly and J.C. was placed under a
guardian.
He later was owner and operator of the steamer "J. C. SWON". History
states
that on May 8, 1861, his boat unloaded guns and ammunition off at St.
Louis
for Fort Jackson, from Baton Rouge, La. He married a "Lucy" and had a
home
in Webster Groves, Mo. Upon his death, he supposedly was buried in
Kentucky.

HOPKINS (1812 NC - 1862 MS) and Sarah Elizabeth HYATT (1812 KY - 1892
MS).
They were married in KY in 1831 - Where ????? Sarah came from KY. Ben's
family apparently had lived in KY for a few years. I do have a "rumor"
that Sarah was part Cherokee. Is this true?? Ben and Sarah "Sallie" had
11 children. Of the 11, 4 were born in KY: William A. HOPKINS b. 1832;
Benjamin Franklin "Frank" HOPKINS b. 1835; John I.C. HOPKINS b. 1837;
and
Mary Jane HOPKINS b. 1840. The family moved to MS in 1840. Does anyone
have any information on where this family might have lived in KY and
who
Ben and Sarah's parents were? Almost all the information I have list
Sarah's
maiden name as HYATT, but one source did list it as HYALL.

1794. They moved to Platt Co., Missouri and had 3 sons, Marion (1832),
James (1834) and Granville (1836). In particular I am looking for where

where.

JOHNSON divorced, Tilda COMBS remarried
to William BANKS. William BANKS adopted Tilda COMBS' son, Isaac Jacob
JOHNSON,
JR. and Isaac Jacob JOHNSON, Jr. was renamed to William BANKS, Jr.
Sometime
after the marriage William BANKS moved his family to West Virginia and
I have no other information on the JOHNSON family. I am the gdaughter
of
William BANKS, JR. (Isaac Jacob JOHNSON, Jr.). I am searching for the
parents
of my ggfather, Isaac Jacob JOHNSON and information on any other
possible
descendants of his. I am also searching for Polly May (Mae) JOHNSON. If
she is still alive we would like to reunite her with her mother, Tilda
