Died at his residence a few miles from town Thursday at 11 oclock p.m. Mr. Daigle was born on the 15th of January 1846, and was 14 years old when the civil war broke out, he took up arms for the Southern cause and remained in army until after the close of war. During his early life he married Celina David and their marriage was blessed with 9 children that survive them: Mesdames Albert Guidry, Henry Murrel, Jose. Fry; Miss Alice and Louise, Messrs Leopold, Anatole, Adolph and Theodule. After the death of his first wife be was again married, to the widow of Adolph Guidry, which union was blessed by one child. He was always a devoted Catholic, and was well liked by all who knew him. Enterment was made in the cemetery here yesterday at 4 p.m. Guidry band furnished music.
