CHARGED WITH STRIKING CORMIER

A warrant has been issued
for the arrest of Maurice LeJeune charged with striking Louis Cormier with a
stick with intent to kill.
Sheriff Walter Larcade
announced Tuesday morning that the arrest would be made and that LeJeune would
probably be punished for the offense.
The warrant charges that
LeJeune struck cormier with a stick with intent to kill about February 22 at
Church Point. It was secured Tuesday morning and turned over to the parish
officers. A number of witnesses, who it is said saw the affair, have been
included on the warrant.
