MARTIN LEBOEUF ARRESTED
CP Democrat May 8, 1909
Saturday morning as Deputy Sheriff
McBride boarded the train for Church Point, after conveying two prisoners to
Crowley the day before, he was given instructions by Sheriff Fontenot to go out
and arrest Martin LeBoeuf, who was wanted on a charge of stealing cattle.
McBride left here early that morning and found LeBoeuf at Mallet Woods working,
and after first losing his way in the woods and getting the top of the buggy
pulled off by vines. He immediately made his arrest, and arrived here just in
time to take train that evening for Crowley. There 6 other arrests on the same
charge in other parts of the parish the same day.
