Alphé Bergeron was born on August 8, 1912, in Pointe Noire. A member of the Veterans Playboys, Bergeron recorded for the Brunswick, Feature, and Lanor labels. He played accordion on the popular "J'ai fait mon idée" (1960), a song by his son, renowned Cajun musician Shirley Bergeron. Alphé died on October 15, 1980, in Pointe Noire.
Shirley Bergeron was born on November 16, 1933, in Church Point. The son of Cajun musician Alphé Bergeron, he composed songs and played rhythm and steel guitar with his father's group, the Veterans Playboys. Shirley appeared on the Lanor label, and recorded the popular "J'ai fait mon idée."
