GROUP PHOTO POINTE NOIRE

Larry Matte son of Gilbert “Gabe” Matte Jr. allowed me to make of copy of this photo. It originally belonged to his mother Noamie Doucet Matte daughter of Joseph Doucet and Laperle Bergeron.

The building in the background is possibly a school. According to Gercie Doucet Daigle this was a home demonstration group. The date of the photo is unknown and may or may not be the same group in the two articles. Gercie Doucet Daigle has a copy of the same photo except hers does not have a person that the face was cut out.

There were names written on the copy I have which I assume was recorded by Larry’s mother. Gercie identified some of the persons for me and provided some information which is included in the list of names on back of photo.
