US Congressman. Served in the United States Army Air Force in World War II. Elected to represent Louisiana's 7th District in the Ubited States House of Representatives, serving from 1953 until his death in 1965. He died in a car accident on I-85 near Gastonia, North Carolina, on July 1, 1965.
