Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Anna Simmons [sic, Simons]
Funeral
services for Mrs. Anna Thompson Simons, age 88, of Chatham were held at 2:00
p.m. Saturday, April 27, in the Chatham Baptist Church. Rev. Clyde Parker and
Rev. Bill Moore conducted the services.
Burial was in the Chatham
Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Mrs.
Simons passed away Thursday, April 25, in the St. Francis Hospital in Monroe,
after a short illness.
She is survived by one son, Oles Simons of
Chatham; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Brecton of Monroe, Mrs. Joseph Bullen of
Jackson, Miss., and Mrs. Winston May of West Monroe; 18 grandchildren and 29
great-grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Simons was married to Bunyan Benton SIMONS.
