Lake Arthur - Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, September 29,
3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Arthur for Mrs. Wilbert
"Eugenie" Perry, 90, who died Tuesday, September 27, at the American Legion
Hospital in Jennings after a brief illness.
Interment will be in the St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Perry was the daughter of Numa and Emma Guidry Broussard of Lake Arthur,
where she had resided for most of her lifetime.
She is survived by two sons, Henry Perry of Beone, N.C. and Herald "Tommy" Perry
of Lake Charles; four daughters, Barbara Spaetgens of Roberts Cove, Marie Bridy
of Lake Arthur, Joyce Gay of Jennings and Betty Gauthier of Ponchtoula; two
sisters, Mrs. L.P. Guidry and Mrs. Curley Courts, both of Lake Arthur; twenty-nine
grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren and one great greatchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Perry, of Cow Island and one
son Douglas Perry of Lake Charles.
Expressions of deepest sympathy are extended to the family in the loss of their
loved "grandmother Perry".
