Fernie H "Pappy" Alford died 1 a.m. Friday, Aug 31, 1990, at his residence.  He was 85 a native of
Kentwood and resident of Baton Rouge.  He retired from Kaiser Alumium Chemical Company on Jan 30, 1970.  Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday with masonic services at 4 p.m. Graveside services at Alford Cemetery Kentwood, 2 p.m. Sunday

Survived by three brothers, Johnny P Alford and Flavis E Alford, both of Kentwood, and Muse Watson "Buck" Alford Jr., Baton Rouge, numeros nieces, and nephews, friends, Charles O Harrison Sr., Charles O, Jr. and Mary Harrison, Sandra H and Ronie Amorello, ichelle Martin and C J Harrison.  He was a member of Istrouma Baptist Curch, plumbers ad Steamfitters Local No 198, and St Albun Masonic Lodge No. 28, Jackson.
