Herbert L Birch

A resident of Kentwood, he died Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, near Greensburg.  He was 66 and a native of St. Helena Parish.  He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War.  Visiting was at MKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.  Thursday.  visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. until religious services at 10:30 a.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Wendell Frazier, the Rev boyd Hood and the Rev. Shady Hurst.  Interment in Needham Cemetery.  Survived by wife, Dorothy B birch, Kentwood; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Darlene birch, Kentwood;  three daughters and three sons-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Williams, springcreek, Danette and Farron Sibley, Walker, and Carla and chad Redmond, Greensburg; 14 grandchildren; five sisters and four brothers-in-law,  cosma and Woody Hodges, Anite, thelma Humphrey, Greensburg, Marcelle and Sam Cuti, Amity, Ruby and Brian Wohlken, Baton Rouge, and Margaret and Joe Estes, Kentwood; and a sister-in-law Mildred Birch, Kentwood.  Preceded in death by parents, leon and Bernice birch; and a brother, Clovis Birch,  Pallbearers will be Jeremy birch, Jason birch, ryan Williams, Jonathan Williams, Jerry Craft, bill birch and Rusty Williams.  Honorary pallbearers are Justin birch, Amie Craft, Jason Prescott, Kolby Silbey, Derek Sibley, Bridget Redmond, Bevin Redmond, Joseph Sibley and Stacey Sibley
