Clyde Purser Young

Died saturday at  p.m. in Hammond.  Residence, 6153 Mulberry St., Amite; age 66; native of St. helena Parish; retired U.S.  Gov. engineer; veteran of world War I.  Religious service at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite at 10 a.m. Monday conducted by rev. Pat Lane and Rev. Lathan Johnson with buril in alford Cemetery.  Surviors include his wife, the former Jessie Alford; a step-son, Clovis burch of Kentwood; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret flair of hillsburg, Miss; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Thelma Humphrey of Kentwood and Mrs Cosma Hodges of Baton Rouge; a siser, Mrs. James Quinlivan of Hammond; two brothers, Bryan of Port Neches, Tex., and b T. of Houston, Tex.  He was a member of First Methodist church of Amite.
