| The Hutchinson cemetery is on my land here in St. Helena Parish. I am a descendant of Peter Hutchinson who received this place from a Spanish grant in 1809. … Part of my family on the Hutchinson side is buried here. The cemetery is about 100 yards behind my home. There are several unmarked graves in the eastern end of Hutchinson Cemetery. My grandmother Arie, according to records, had 2 still-borned and 1 died at the age of 3. Nancy and W. B. Hutchinson buried a 4 month old daughter here. These graves were marked by bricks stood on end for years, but in mowing grass they were moved about and eventually were picked up and discarded. --Edgar McNabb Email: emcnabb@i-55.com | ||
