Kettle is about 100 years old. In 1979, Mrs. Collins Pope donated the syrup mill and iron kettle. The kettle dates back to 1900 and is typical of implements used in syrup making prior to the use of rectangular tin pans. The kettle measures 4 feet in diameter by 2 feet deep and weighs approximately 250 pounds when empty.
