Obituary from Baltimore Sun Paper, May 19, 1890 -
JOINES-On Friday
morning, May 16, DANIEL JOINES, in the 80th year of his age. His funeral will
take place on this (Monday) afternoon, at four o'clock, from his late residence,
No. 402 North Eden street.
Buried in Baltimore Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
Funeral card states: "In loving remembrance of Mrs. Mary Joynes, died Nov.
16, 1905, in her 71st year...
Tis hard to break the tender cord
When
love has bound the heart.
Tis hard, so hard, to speak the words
Must we
forever part.
We cannot tell who next may fall
Beneath thy chastening
rod.
One must be first, but let us all
Prepare to meet our God.".
The above is true to the best of my knowledge.
Signed Mr. John T. Allen,
603 (803?) Curtis Ave.
Place of Burial: Mt. Carmel Cemetery
Date of
Burial: Dec. 31, 1912
Undertaker: (illegible), 230 N. Greene

1912, aged 78 years...
We miss thee from our home dear,
We miss thee
from thy place;
A shadow o'er our life is cast,
We miss the sunshine of
thy face.
We miss thy kind and willing hand,
Thy fond and honest care
Our home
is dark without thee
We miss thee everywhere.
