MOONEY - On the 6th inst., RICHARD MOONEY, in the 35th year of his age, a native of the county Kildare, leaving a wife and a large circle of friends to mourn their irreparable loss.  May he rest in peace.

  His friends and those of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral, on this (Wednesday) afternoon, at two o'clock, from his late residence, No. 98 Albemarle street.


 WALLIS - Suddenly, on the 5th inst., at Camp Barry, Washington, D.C., JOHN W. WALLIS, (member of Alexander's Baltimore Light Battery,) in the 29th year of his age.

   The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend his funeral on this (Wednesday) morning, at ten o'clock, from the residence of his father, No. 103 S. Kreter street.

 WARD - On the 7th instant, PATRICK WARD, in the 53d year of his age.  His funeral will take place on this (Wednesday) afternoon, at three o'clock, from his late residence, No. 242 Le??mon alley.

 BRAUL - On the 7th instant, LOUISE, youngest child of William and Auguste Braul, age 17 months and 14 days.

MINNICK -  On the morning of the 1st instant, ROBERT EDMUND LEE, twin son of M.E. and Marietta Minnick, aged 11 months and 10 days.

POTEET - On the 4th instant, WILLIAM W. POTEET, aged 19 years and 26 days.

     Must friends and kindred droop and die,
And helpers be withdrawn;
While sorrow, with a weeping eye,
      Counts up our comforts gone?
   Be thou our comfort, mighty God,
    Our helper and our friend
  Nor leave us in this dangerous road,
 Till all our trials end.

TRIDEL - On the 31st ultimo JOHNEY, aged 2 years and 9 months, and on the 1st, FANNEY, aged 5 years and 4 months, youngest children of George F. and Phebe Tridel.   [Rhode Island and Alexandra (Va.) papers please copy.]

WELLING - On Saturday morning, 4th instant, at Clifton, Howard county, the residence of her parents, in the 19th year of her age, CATHARINE, daughter of William and Mary M. Welling.

CLEVELAND-On the 13th instant, GEORGE W. CLEVELAND, aged 78 years. He
was one of the Old Defenders of 1812 [Philadelphia papers please copy.]
We miss thee around our household stone-
Thy joyous s__lls and cheerful tone;
We miss that eye with its gentle light.
The loving word, the fond "good night;"
We miss the old accustomed seat,
Thy favorite looks, thy counsel sweet;
We miss thy light step's welcome tread;
Its echo from our home has fled.
His funeral will take place this (Saturday) morning at ten o'clock,
from No. 52 South Poppleton st.

HUGHES-Suddenly on the 14th instant, Mrs.SARAH HUGHES, AGED 36 years,
consort of Edward Hughes, a native of the parish Aug(h/b)all, county
Tyrone, Ireland. May she rest in peace.
Her friends and the friends of the family are respectfully invited to
attend her funeral, on this (Saturday) afternoon, at two o'clock, from
her late residence, No. 1 Biddle street.

KNIGHT-On the 18th instant, after a long illness, JOSEPH C. KNIGHT, in
the 31st year of his age.
His friends are respectfully invited to atted his funeral on this
(Saturday) morning, 15th instant at ten o'clock, from his late
residence, No. 21 Comet steet.

MULES-On the 14th instant, ROSINA, wife of Samuel Mules,in the 59th
year of her age.
Relatives and friends of the family are requested to attend her
funeral on to-morrow (Sunday) afternoon at half-past two o'clock, from
her late residence, No. 21 Orchard street.

EVANS-On the 13th instant, after a long and painful illness, JAMES G.
EVANS, in the 22n year of his age.
Of all the graces and virtues of humanity this son seemed to have
possessed a double share. Generosity, marked his every act, kindness
predominated in his disposition, and charity reigned in his heart. Being
blessed with everything that renders life happy, he lived loving and
loved. When surrounded by the happifying influences of this cheering
spot his happiness seemed comlete. In time of health, he was ever the
most indulgent son, beloved brother, tendearest companion and kindest
friend, until at last in one quick moment he severed the chord that
bound him__one of earth's creatures and passed into the Spirit Land.
Father, mother, b rother and friend firmly respond, God's will be

years and 8 months, son of James W. and E. Augusta Hewlett.

HILL-On Sunday evening, the 9th instant, Edward Snowden, second son of
Charles C. and Emily R. Hill, aged 15 years.

PAXTON-In Georgetown, D. C., on Sunday evening, July 9th, after an
illness of three days, LAURA V., wife of John W. Paxton, ad second
daughter of George and Mary Patterson, of this city.

RANFT. - On the 7th instant, at 3 o'clock, Caroline Regina, infant daughter
of Charles and Sophia Ranft, aged 9 months and 21 days.
       Past her suffering: past her pain -
       Cease to weep, for tears are vain;
       Calm the tumult of your breast,
       She who suffered is at rest.
   The relatives and Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend
the funeral this (Monday) afternoon, at four o'clock, from her parents'

SALISBURY. - On the 7th of October, Mary E. Salisbury, in the 17th year of
her age, daughter of William and Eliza R. Salisbury.
       And is my darling gone,
           Her blessed spirit fled,
       And her lovely form
           Reposing with the dead.

       O yes, the conflict's o'er,
           The mortal strife is past;
       My Mary Lizzie is no more,
           I saw her breathe her last.

BUTLER. - Suddenly on Sunday morning, at the residence of her undle, Wm. G.
Powen, of disease of the heart.  Kate M., daughter of Charles and Catharine
A. Butler, aged 18 years and 8 months.

McBURNEY. - Suddenly on the 7th instant, after a short illness, Cleland
McBurney, in the 67th year, a native of Ireland, but for the last
thirty-seven years a resident of Baltimore.
     Dearest father, thou hast left us,
       We thy loss most deeply feel;
     But 'tis God that has bereft us,
        He can all our sorrows heal.

     Past his suffering, past his pain,
     Cease to weep, for tears are vain;
     Calm the tumult of your breast,

McCLURE - On Sunday, the 8th instant, at one o'clock in the afternoon,
Charles E. S., son of James A. L. and Susan McClure, aged 5 years.

THOMAS. - On the 6th instant, Louis Wesley, aged 4 years and 6 months, son of
Bryan M. and Lenora A. Thomas, [New York, Steubenville (Ohio) and Cecil

     God blest us with a beauteous flower,
        As frail as it was wonderous fair;
     And how we loved the gift each hour
        Of its brief life will witness bear.
     But, oh! Too well we loved the boon,
        Forgetting Him by whom 'twas given,
     And God to win our hears thus noon,
        Has raised the flower from earth to Heaven.

WARTMAN. - On the 6th instant, at Willow Cottage Farm, Baltimore county,
Michael K. Wartman, in the 66th year of his age.
