SPRIGGS - In loving remembrance of JOHN
EDWIN SPRIGGS, who departed this life three
years ago today, January 6, 1894.
Three years ago, dear John, O can it be
Three weary years I've mourned for thee;
And yet it seems so fresh, the pain,
I count them o'er and o'er again.
Each day I miss thy loving face,
since thou wast called away;
The loss was mine, thine the gain,
And I can only pray.
