Will of John Holland

John Holland, Book 5, 29 Jul 1793
 
"In the Name of God Amen this 29 day of July A.D. in the year of our Lord
One Thousand seven hundred and Ninety Three I John Holland Senior being sick
in body but of Good and perfect memory thanks be to the Almighty God
Therefore and calling to Remembrance the Uncertain Estate of this Transitory
life and that all flesh must Yield to Death when it shall please God to call
Do make and Constitute Ordain and declare this my last Will and Testament in
manner and Form following Revoking and Annulling by these Presents all and
every Testament and Testaments will and Wills heretofore by me made and
Declared Either by Word or Writing and this be taken only for my last Will
and Testament and none other.
Impriss.  I first bequeath to my son Samuel the Place he now lives on Called
Bonds Forrest and all my Land lying in Bonds Forrest and one horse Colt? a
Silver Watch and one pair of Silver shoe buckles to him his heirs and
assigns forever.  Secondly I leave and Bqueath to my Daughter Ann and to my
son George all that Pack or parcel of Land Called Bonds Security to be
Equally Divided Between them the Place where I now live is to be my Daughter
Anns and the place where my son John Lives to my son Georg To them their
heirs and assigns for ever.  I likewise leave to my Daughter Ann one feather
bed & mare and one cow and my Walnut Chest and Silver Spoons.  I likewise
leave to my son George all my wearing Cloths and the bed I be on.  I leave
to my son John one Shilling Sterling and no more and likewise to my Daughter
Susannah Howard one Shilling Sterling and no more and I likewise leave to my
Daughter Sarah McCubbin one shilling Sterling and no more.  I likewise leave
and Bequeath to my Daughter Mary Hunt one Shilling Sterling and no more.  I
leave and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Holland one shilling Sterling and no
more.  I leave and Bequeath to my Daughter Catherine Grant one Shilling
Sterling and no more.  All the Residue of my Estate to be Equally Divided
between my son Samuel Holland, George Holland & Ann Holland.  I do hereby
Ordain and Appoint my son Samuel Holland & Ann Holland as my Lawful
Executors  As witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal to this
Whole side and peace of Side this 29 of July 1793
