__________________________________________________________________________ Ever dear Lilla: I am well and hope you are. We are going to have some Syrup for supper. so you need not feel so big over your makeing Syrup this week. I said I was well but I am not because I have a very bad cold and my nose is running like good one. The other day Mother was coming on with this cold everyone is haveing. and she went to make some pudding for supper here she was when I looked up cooking, with a rag tied round her nose or rather under it. and it was brought round and pinned on the top of her head. I laughed I could not help it. she looked funny. I asked her what she had (spell it I can't) that thing on for. and she said that it dripped faster than she could wipe it away, now she is sick abed wit it was not up at all yesterday. this morning got up and got her clothes on, but her had to go right back to bed gain, her head aches awfully. well to tell the truth my own does not do much better. but there I am all right any way, while M. is sick.
